Conferences play an important part in knowledge and ideas exchange for various industries. In the logistics environment the focus is invariably on the introduction of new technologies and how they can reduce costs and improve your bottom line, or fleet/operations/warehouse/field services improvement through more expedient use or management of equipment/systems/processes etc.
The one trend that I have found lacking is the human integration aspect to all these ‘improvements’ being touted. It has therefore become my focus to look to introducing the ‘human element’ to these conferences. The trend of all my presentations has been on how to get the best out of your staff/workforce/teams by incorporating and integrating the principles being touted at the particular conferences with good, efficient people management, training, measurement and motivation.
Motivation, measurement and management form the core principles of my presentations which are also the core principles from my book ‘Ivan’s Rules of Management’.
